Senior Engagement Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Engagement Manager based in United States.

This is a senior consulting opportunity for an experienced strategic advisor who can lead complex engagements from initial problem definition through final deliverables.
You will combine research, critical analysis, solution design, and client relationship management to turn ambiguous business challenges into actionable outcomes.
The role requires strong ownership of projects, including coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining high standards throughout delivery.
You will work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, uncover meaningful insights, and develop solutions that create measurable value.
The position offers significant autonomy and an entrepreneurial environment where challenging conventional thinking is encouraged.
You will also contribute to account development and broader business growth while helping teams become more effective and collaborative.

Accountabilities

• Own engagements from inception through final delivery, contributing across research, analysis, solution development, project management, and presentation of final recommendations.
• Research business challenges using a broad range of information sources, including unconventional sources where appropriate, to uncover relevant insights and perspectives.
• Analyze, organize, and synthesize complex information into clear findings, strategic options, and practical business solutions.
• Architect business solutions collaboratively, combining analytical thinking, technical knowledge, and creative approaches to address client challenges.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by establishing trust, understanding stakeholder priorities, and consistently delivering high-quality work.
• Lead project teams, coordinate multidisciplinary contributors, and manage resources, timelines, priorities, and deliverables to maximize engagement efficiency.
• Translate complex ideas and recommendations into compelling written materials, presentations, and client communications.
• Challenge conventional assumptions and accepted approaches when doing so can lead to more valuable insights and differentiated solutions.
• Focus engagements on actionable outcomes and ensure recommendations can be translated into practical next steps.
• Contribute to account development, client retention, and business growth by identifying opportunities and strengthening long-term relationships.
• Support the development of team members through effective management, coaching, collaboration, and leadership.

Requirements

• Approximately 7+ years of professional experience, preferably including tenure with a leading management consulting firm or Big Four organization.
• Strong background in management consulting, strategic advisory, or a comparable client-facing problem-solving environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in research, critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, and business solution architecture.
• Proven experience managing projects of varying size and complexity, including responsibility for methodologies, project management tools, timelines, and outcomes.
• Demonstrated team leadership and people-management experience, including managing multidisciplinary, geographically distributed, or multi-location teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling narratives and deliver engaging presentations.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and the ability to understand how technological developments can support business solutions.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the initiative to identify opportunities, solve problems independently, and contribute to organizational growth.
• Creative and multidisciplinary approach to problem solving, combining analytical and technical skills with innovative thinking.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding consulting environment.
• No government clearance is required.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 60%, subject to applicable travel requirements and guidelines.
