Pay Rate: $50-$53/hr

Contract: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Night shift; various shift lengths and days required

Total Working Hours: Scheduled 36 hours

Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience required


About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Med-Surg for a 13-week night shift contract in Hilo, HI. This role requires flexibility with shift lengths, workdays, floating needs, and patient care assignments within a busy medical unit.


Responsibilities
• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Support care involving wound vacs, chest tubes, and acute medical needs
• Float to other units as needed, including Laulima and Cardiovascular units
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility protocols
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and care teams


Requirements
• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse license required by assignment start
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience required
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Must be flexible with shift lengths, days, and unit assignments
• Holiday coverage required
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required
• Must arrive before start for employee health clearance
