About the Role

The Company is in search of a visionary and entrepreneurial leader to serve as the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, collaborative academic physician with a strong track record in clinical, teaching, scholarship, and administrative achievements. This role is pivotal in leading the department into the future, with a focus on advancing women's health and maintaining a mission-driven approach. The Chair will be responsible for strengthening educational, scholarly, and clinical programs, and must demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care, community partnerships, and the highest quality and safety standards in women's healthcare. Candidates for the Chair position must hold an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or D.O. degree with board certification in obstetrics and gynecology, and a subspecialty fellowship is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage in a complex, matrixed organization, and possess the business acumen and interpersonal skills necessary to build successful relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Essential qualifications include a collaborative leadership style, experience in a prominent OB/GYN department, and a strong background in fostering accountability, team management, and faculty development. The Chair will work closely with the leadership of the company and ProMedica to create and execute a strategic plan for the department, and will oversee the participation of faculty in academic activities, as well as lead academic program development in collaboration with the Dean of the College of Medicine and Life Sciences.
