ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a fast-paced fintech and banking startup seeking a driven, resourceful, and AI-savvy marketing professional to own all marketing functions for the company. This is a rare opportunity to build and run a marketing operation from the ground up — with the full support of leadership and the freedom to move quickly.
This is a solo marketing seat. You will be the company’s marketing engine. You’ll help set strategy, create content, manage campaigns, design assets, and deliver results — leveraging AI tools and a curated network of freelancers to punch well above your weight to present our banking solution to our defined marketplace. WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Brand & Strategy
- Define and manage the company’s brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across all channels.
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy aligned to company growth objectives in collaboration with channel partners.
- Build and maintain a content calendar that supports both brand awareness and customer loyalty & engagement.
AI-Powered Content & Creative
- Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Runway, ElevenLabs) as a force multiplier for content, copywriting, and design.
- Produce polished marketing assets — webpages, social graphics, email templates, landing pages, pitch decks — at startup speed.
- Write compelling copy for all channels: web, email, social, and product materials.
- Leverage AI for video scripting, short-form video editing, and motion graphics when needed.
Sales & Loyalty
- Plan, launch, and optimize digital marketing & promotional campaigns in collaboration with our channel partners, including developing and maintaining a sales training program.
- Develop product brochures and other sales aids to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Measure web traffic to identify opportunities to improve conversion rate.
- Measure online and mobile platform activities to understand customer behavior.
- Drive SEO/SEM strategy and execution to grow organically.
Product Promotion
- Develop market expertise & innovations visibility to help Product Management to implement solutions differentiators to further enhance our unique portfolio of products.
- Working with Product, create materials to highlight value propositions, how-to use, and other materials to entice/encourage adoption of our services.
- Own campaigns targeting existing customers to elevate engagement and loyalty.
- Monitor and help enhance reward & perk programs to drive performance and translate data into actionable optimizations.
Freelance & Vendor Management
- Identify, engage, and manage freelance designers, developers, videographers, and specialists as needed.
- Ensure freelance work is on-brand, on-deadline, and within budget.
- Build a reliable bench of creative talent that can flex with company needs.
Operations & Reporting
- Own the marketing tech stack — select, implement, and manage tools that enable digital marketing and related activities.
- Deliver regular performance reports to leadership with clear metrics and recommendations.
- Identify trends, competitive intelligence, and market opportunities relevant to the digital banking (fintech) space.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- 8+ years of hands-on marketing experience across multiple disciplines (content, digital, creative, campaigns).
- Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools in real marketing workflows — not just awareness, but active daily use.
- Strong graphic design skills; comfortable producing professional assets independently.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong editorial eye.
- Experience managing freelancers or external creative vendors.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics and optimize accordingly.
- Self-starter with high ownership mentality — you don’t wait to be told what to do.
Preferred
- Experience in fintech, financial services, digital banking, payments or similar.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, etc.).
- Experience with paid media (Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
- Basic video editing or short-form video production experience.
- Knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices.
- Prior experience as a one-person or small-team marketing department.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an on-site position based at our company headquarters. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The nature of startup marketing means occasional flexibility will be needed to meet campaign deadlines or launch timelines. Some travel may be required for industry events, partner meetings, or conferences.
