Business Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Data Analyst to help us turn data into actionable insights. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of data handling, from initial collection and segmentation to the final presentation of findings to key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of technical prowess in database management, the mathematical rigor of a statistician, and the communication skills of a storyteller.

Key Responsibilities
Data Modeling & Design: Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

Database Management: Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.

Reporting & Visualization: Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.

Mining & Segmentation: Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using various data mining techniques.

Process Improvement: Work with management to prioritize business and information needs, locating and defining new process improvement opportunities.

Stakeholder Presentation: Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.

Technical Requirements
Technical Expertise: Proven working experience regarding data models, database design development, and data mining/segmentation techniques.

Tools & Reporting: Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (e.g., SSRS, Tableau) and databases (e.g., SQL).

Programming & ETL: Experience with programming languages such as XML or JavaScript, and familiarity with ETL frameworks.

Statistical Analysis: Solid knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (e.g., Excel, Power BI).

Core Competencies
Analytical Rigor: Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Communication: Expert at writing queries, drafting comprehensive reports, and presenting complex findings in a clear, concise manner.

Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying data gaps and proposing technical solutions to bridge them.

Preferred Qualifications
BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.

Experience in data scrubbing and predictive modeling.
