Composite Room Ed Tech - Medomak Valley High School
RSU 40/MSAD 40 SCHOOL DISTRICT
Educational Technician (Ed Tech I, II, or III) RSU 40 Midcoast Maine RSU 40 is seeking flexible, student-centered Educational Technicians to support students across our special education programs. These positions work as part of a collaborative team to provide academic, behavioral, and functional support to students with diverse needs. This is a program-based role, meaning staff may support students across classrooms, programs, and schools based on student needs. What You'll Do Support students in academic, behavioral, and functional skill development Implement IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior plans Provide 1:1 and small group support in a variety of settings Assist with classroom routines, materials, and organization Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, and community-based activities Build positive, supportive relationships with students Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and program teams Help create safe, structured, and inclusive learning environments What We're Looking For Maine Ed Tech I, II, or III certification (or ability to obtain) Experience working with children (preferred) Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility and willingness to support across programs Ability to remain calm, patient, and responsive in dynamic situations Commitment to student growth, inclusion, and dignity Why Join RSU 40 Be part of a supportive, team-oriented special education department Work with incredible students across a continuum of programs Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Meaningful work that makes a difference every day Additional Opportunities Staff may have opportunities to: Work in specialized programs (LEAD, Bridge, Endeavor, Composite, Resource Room) Support community-based instruction Receive training in behavior support and intervention strategies Serve in Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) roles, if qualified Reports To Special Education Teacher / Case Manager and Building Administrator About the Role Join a team that is committed to supporting students, collaborating with staff, and building strong, inclusive school communities. #J-18808-Ljbffr RSU 40/MSAD 40 SCHOOL DISTRICT
