Veterinary Extern - General Practice

Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital Externship 2026 We are accepting externship applications for 2026. This externship will provide students a unique opportunity to understand the day‑to‑day operations of an NVA hospital and gain hands‑on clinical experience. Externs will work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians to: Gather patient histories Perform physical examinations Create treatment plans Conduct diagnostics and dentistry services Observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures Manage patient medical care Externs will also practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients. Externships at Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital typically range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate. Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
