About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of prior Telemetry experience required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - Must be prepared to float frequently to meet staffing needs Description: This position involves working in a team-based care delivery model with bedside Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. The staff cares for a variety of medical and telemetry patients with acute and chronic illnesses. Conditions managed include sepsis, respiratory conditions, gastrointestinal issues, endocrine disorders, cardiac disease, and COVID-19. Responsibilities include managing titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, complex wound care, post-bariatric procedures, high oxygen delivery systems, and end-of-life care. The unit consists of a team that promotes teamwork, communication, and leadership. Ratios are 1:8 during the day and 1:9 at night. Float requirements are included to meet facility needs. Travelers must work two-thirds of major holiday shifts. The facility maintains a 100% nicotine-free environment. Travelers must submit requests for time off with their application.
