Role Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing recognized assessment instruments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, to create cohesive care plans.
• Provide education for patients and their families to support therapeutic progress beyond office visits.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient journey.
• Document patient progress in compliance with state, federal, and facility standards in a timely manner.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay updated on advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for candidates not yet ASHA-certified.

Licensure and Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within the first month of employment.
