Job Description:

At Regions, the Telecommunications Engineer develops, implements, and maintains the configuration and programming of the Regions Contact Center and/or Audio-Visual systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Helps perform various telecommunication system installations and maintenance routines

• Designs, develops, codes, debugs, tests, implements, and provides daily technical support and maintenance for all applicable applications and systems

• Troubleshoots system issues, determines root cause, repairs, coordinates with vendors when necessary

• Monitors help desk ticket queues and resolves telecommunications related tickets

• Assists in creating, planning, and executing project plans relating to applicable systems and applications

• May research, recommend, and deploy new technologies, under direct guidance

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of telecommunications experience

• Or, a High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of telecommunications experience

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to work under direct guidance

• Basic understanding of voice and data technologies as used in the enterprise network including the public branch exchange and dialed number identification routing

• Basic writing, verbal communication, and technical documentation skills

• Basic knowledge of telecommunication configuration tools, database management, application integration, and security

• Experience with leased lines and call recording applications

• Familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL), Hypertext Transfer Protocol ( Internet Protocol (IP), and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP)/ Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)

• Working knowledge of applicable software such as but not limited to Cisco Contact Center, Genesys or Noble Dialer, Cisco Control Hub, Cisco Device Connector, Air Medias, and TMS

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows products

Preferred knowledge of Brightsign Content Management

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience

This position is required to be onsite at the Riverchase Operations Center in Hoover, AL.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Median:

$74,650.00 USD
