Requirements and Preferences

Work Schedule - 40 hours; Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm

Other Work/Responsibilities - Other duties as needed

Minimum Experience/Education - High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Department Required Skills - Ability to accurately process financial transactions and maintain financial records. Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in data entry and documentation. Knowledge of basic financial processes, procedures, and accounting principles. Ability to provide excellent customer service and support to internal departments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and experience working with financial or administrative systems.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education - 13 years of experience in administrative, financial, accounting, or business operations support preferred. Experience processing financial transactions, reconciling records, and supporting financial systems preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing financial data and documentation. Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with internal departments, vendors, and external stakeholders. Experience with financial systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, or university/government financial processes preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and data management tools preferred.
