Schedule Monday - Friday Day shift Job Location Type In Person Overview Sovah Health - Danville is part of Lifepoint Health. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will join the dedicated team of Sovah ENT clinic and provide clinical and administrative support. More About Our Team Sovah ENT is a full‑range Ear, Nose, and Throat clinic with five experienced providers committed to high‑quality, patient‑centered care. The clinic operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Responsibilities Triage patients by phone and as walk‑ins, escort them to exam rooms and monitor patient flow. Access the computer for patient reports and prepare patient charts with pertinent medical information. Obtain and record patient vital signs, medication list, etc. Perform office procedures and assist provider/physician with minor clinical procedures. Manage prescriptions; call in/fax and eRx prescriptions as directed by provider/physician. Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures as ordered by provider/physician. Obtain patient referrals, pre‑authorizations, and pre‑certifications using eCW. Perform administrative duties, including answering phone patient calls, returning phone calls, receiving and sorting incoming faxes, completing forms as requested. Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families. May administer medications, injections, and immunizations; utilize office and lab equipment for inpatient orders and lab tests. Qualifications The right candidate will work under a registered nurse and provide direct patient care in accordance with scope and standards of practice. Licensed Practical Nurse with current licensure from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State. AHA BLS certification required. Previous research experience preferred.
