- The Patient Services Representative II serves as the first point of contact for patients entering an outpatient medical facility.
- Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, verifying demographic and other required information, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation.
- The representative supports intake activities by assisting with healthcare and insurance forms and collecting payments for services.
- This role requires clear, professional communication with patients, families, support groups, and healthcare providers while maintaining confidentiality and patient safety.
- The position follows organizational policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Additional duties may include completing department-specific administrative tasks and assisting with the orientation of other staff.
- Experience with outpatient patient service or front-desk workflows.
- Experience with patient greeting, registration, check-in, and information verification.
- Experience with appointment scheduling and updating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to facilitate patient intake, including healthcare and insurance forms.
- Ability to collect and process patient payments for services.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, support groups, and healthcare providers.
- Ability to maintain patient privacy and follow organizational, local, state, and federal requirements.
- Experience with Revenue Cycle workflows.
- Experience in an outpatient medical facility.
- Experience supporting or orienting department staff.
- Proficiency in coordinating multiple patient-facing administrative activities.
