Director of Accounting

Job Summary:The Director of Accounting will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, cash flows, and other related financial activities. Additionally, this position provides reporting, analysis and month-end support to the CFO and the business as a whole.Duties / Responsibilities:Apply a broad knowledge of accounting methods and procedures across the organization.Oversee the month-end close process for a team of three. Processes include journal entry review, income statement preparation, and variance analysis reporting.Develop processes to reconcile and review balance sheet reconciliations on a periodic basis.Responds to informational requests and assists with DOL,401k, and year end audits.Partner with Operations to review monthly profit and loss statement to ensure cost effectiveness.Assists in managing cash collections and accounts payable disbursements.Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.Department projects and other duties as assigned.Required Skills and AbilitiesExceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational and collaboration capabilitiesAbility to work autonomously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlinesAdvanced analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex financial risks and develop effective strategiesThorough knowledge of U.S. GAAPProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting systems, including Microsoft Dynamics Business CentralExperience with financial reporting and planning tools; Vena experience preferredEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field requiredMinimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive accounting experience requiredCPA license requiredLeadership CompetenciesStrategic thinking and financial stewardshipCollaborative leadership and cross-functional partnershipIntegrity, discretion, and accountabilityContinuous improvement mindsetOrganizational ExpectationsProvides a positive and professional representation of CFG Health Systems, LLCPromotes a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and preventionMaintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in the related scope of job role or practiceAdheres to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations • Participate in ongoing quality improvement activitiesCompletes required orientation as directed by the facilityFollows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignmentFollows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence ProtocolUpholds HIPAA and PREA regulationsPunctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shiftsMaintains security clearance for the assigned facilityPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
