About the Role:

The Clinical Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting healthcare providers by delivering high-quality clinical and administrative assistance within a medical setting. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant (e.g., CMA, RMA) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a clinical healthcare environment.
• Additional certifications such as phlebotomy or EKG technician credentials.
• Familiarity with medical billing and coding processes.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
• Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, medical histories, and recording symptoms.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures by handling instruments and supplies.
• Manage patient documentation, including updating electronic health records and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Schedule patient appointments, coordinate referrals, and communicate effectively with patients regarding instructions and follow-up care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.

The Clinical Medical Assistant utilizes strong interpersonal skills daily to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members, ensuring clarity and empathy.
