You'll lead strategic programs from planning to sustainment while reporting the program benefits to the Executive Sponsors and Governance Boards.As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for:Leading program definition, planning, scope, and execution of assigned programs, managing the health status of programs to anticipate risks and/or issues and implement mitigation plansDefining integrated program plans (including detailed work breakdown structures) and the deliverables required for the program's successIdentifying dependencies and interdependencies between programs and successfully scope, size, and lead implementation of identified transformation/growth opportunitiesDriving stakeholder alignment and communicating program status to executive sponsors and governance forumsWorking independently and comfortably in ambiguous circumstances to create clear paths forward for teamsAdopting best-practice guidelines to influence and implement continuous improvements to PMO processesDo what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:Have 8 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field or its equivalentHave professional experience as a Project Manager/Program Manager in an IT organizationHave a sufficient level of technical background to provide credibility to technical teams and accurately and objectively evaluate risks and issuesHave experience working on projects/programs supporting Enterprise ApplicationsHave experience managing external implementation providersDemonstrate solid leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills in addition to excellent presentation and communication abilitiesHave a successful track record of stakeholder management and leading effective communication across senior leadership and technical teamsAbout usAt Akamai, we make life better for billions of people, trillions of times a day. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $119,600 - $215,400/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
