VP of Marketing

The Role The VP of Marketing will own Soraban’s marketing strategy and lead a lean team of two. This role will focus on three primary areas: Building Soraban’s brand and telling a clear, compelling product and market story. Using data and performance metrics to determine where Soraban should invest its next marketing dollar. Leading and developing a small team while remaining actively involved in execution. This is a player-coach role for someone who can set the strategy, create alignment across the company, and roll up their sleeves to help bring the work to life. The VP of Marketing will report directly to the CEO and partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product. What You Will Do Brand and Product Marketing Own Soraban’s brand, positioning, and product storytelling. Turn complex product capabilities into clear, differentiated messaging. Lead product launches, go-to-market strategy, thought leadership, and sales enablement. Ensure consistent messaging across campaigns, events, content, and customer-facing materials. Marketing Performance and Investment Own marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline. Build clear reporting across channels, campaigns, and funnel performance. Use performance data to determine where to invest, scale, or reallocate marketing spend. Optimize paid, organic, influencer, content, email, and event programs to improve pipeline and ROI. Team Leadership and Execution Set clear priorities, goals, and performance expectations. Stay hands-on in messaging, campaign development, analysis, and execution. Use agencies and contractors selectively to extend the team’s impact. Cross-Functional Leadership Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product on go-to-market priorities. Bring customer and market insights into positioning and product discussions. Coordinate product launches and support growth across acquisition, expansion, and renewal. Serve as a strategic member of the leadership team. What Success Looks Like Soraban has a clear and differentiated brand and product story. Marketing accurately forecasts and generates qualified pipeline to achieve company ARR targets. Channel spend is grounded in performance data and measurable ROI Product launches and go-to-market efforts are well coordinated. The marketing team operates with strong focus, accountability, and execution. What We Are Looking For Required 8 or more years of B2B SaaS marketing experience with increasing leadership responsibility. Proven experience in brand positioning, product marketing, and demand generation. Strong storytelling skills and the ability to simplify complex products. Deep understanding of marketing metrics, attribution, funnel performance, and ROI. Experience using data to make budget and channel investment decisions. Hands-on experience with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools. Experience leading and developing a small team. Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution. Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills. Nice to Have Experience scaling a B2B SaaS company. Experience with founder-led sales. Experience in accounting, tax, fintech, or vertical SaaS. Experience with Hubspot. Experience with influencer marketing, AI-powered products, or seasonal businesses.
