Maintenance Assistant

Serenity Spring Senior Living of Arlington, a Long Term Care Facility located in Arlington, OH is looking for a per diem Maintenance Assistant. Responsibilities Aiding in the day to day maintenance operation of the facility, and he/she is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on equipment. Assisting in performing regular daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checks, as shown on “Preventive Maintenance Calendar”. Performs “hands on” performance of maintenance and repair work of nursing home and independant living units; Makes minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, Geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkling systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers Maintains the building in good repair and free of hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, etc.; Maintains the building and grounds in compliance with Federal, State and local laws; Maintains the fire alarm and emergency generator system in good working order, performs test on fire alarm and emergency generator system weekly and keeps required records of tests results; Maintains required records and reports as outlined in the policies and procedures of the Maintenance Department; Orders and requisitions supplies subsequent to Administrator's approval; Performs other responsibilities, as may be required, and as directed by the Maintiance Director and/or Facility Administrator. Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.
