Position Summary:

Responsible to sell products carried by Zidian Specialty Foods to assigned customer base and/or territory.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SALES AND DISTRIBUTION RESPONSIBILITES:

• Grow profitable sales and distribution on all Gia Russa products and other products carried by the John Zidian Group:
  • Grow sales and increase profitability in assigned accounts
  • Gain distribution on the full assortment of products in the Zidian Specialty Foods assortment.
  • Manage shelf space and solicit secondary displays
  • Manage and write sales reports as required

COMPUTER/TABLET & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Efficiently execute and utilize hand apps to complete all sales order, credits and returns promptly and correctly
• Respond promptly to emails, and utilize Outlook Mail and Calendar efficiently.
• Effective utilize Microsoft Word, and Excel.

ORGANIZATION SKILLS:

• Efficiently execute sale orders and paperwork promptly and correctly
• Manage time wisely to maximize performance in day to day sales
• Respond promptly to management decisions
• Effectively communicate to customers and all employees of the company.

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE AND BUSINESS SAVVY:

• Must keep informed of all industry news
• Fully understand the objectives set annually by management
• Be familiar and have excellent product knowledge of products carried by company

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING:

• Build strong productive customer relationships
• Use good judgement, consideration, and cooperation with both inside and outside customers.
• Must exhibit high professional ethics to include honesty with customers
• Be a team player
• Have good communication with managers, office and warehouse personnel and buyers

SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE:

• Responsible to be educated and knowledgeable in safety rules and regulations and to work 100% safely at all times
• Must have excellent driving record
• Must be sure vehicle that is driven is in very safe condition
• Quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements including a work environment free from sexual harassment and illegal discriminatory behavior both company and customer’s locations.

All other necessary duties as assigned by Supervisor.

 

 

Requirements Necessary to Perform This Job Function: (Educational & Physical) 

EQUIPMENT CERTIFICATION AND OR USE:

• Ability to utilize personal computer equipment
• Licensed automobile or van driver

EDUCATION AND SKILLS NECESSARY TO PERFORM JOB FUNCTIONS:

• High School Graduate or GED
• Prior experience of years in retail packaged good or food sales preferred

• Basic Reading and writing skills as well as Mathematical skills of being able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

• Helpful to know Microsoft Suite software and usage of same
• Have excellent personal hygiene
• Be self-motivated and work well without constant direct supervision
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multi task easily
• Ability to travel as required by job

PHYSICAL ABILITIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM JOB:

• Must be in good physical shape with high stamina and dexterity
• Able to lift 50 lbs. plus(+)
• Good hand dexterity with both hands
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Able to drive an automobile and sit for long periods of time
• Ability to travel by air plane
• Able to bend and stoop and reach above head easily
• Excellent eye sight with very good peripheral vision
• Able to work long hours when necessary; work overtime as needed
• Able to work in hot and humid environments
