Responsibilities \n

\n
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions
\n
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
\n
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
\n
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements and supporting schedules
\n
• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
\n
• Oversee employee payroll records, deductions, benefits reconciliations, and payroll tax reporting
\n
• Assist with preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
\n
• Analyze financial performance and prepare financial reports for leadership
\n
• Support healthcare finance activities, including physician practice and outpatient clinic operations
\n
• Collaborate with revenue cycle, billing, and operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
\n
• Prepare management reports and key financial metrics
\n
• Assist with cash flow monitoring
\n
• Reconcile accounts receivable and ensure payments are received in timely manner
\n
• Monitor and reconcile clinical and translation research invoicing, billing, and accounts receivable
\n
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors
\n
• Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
\n
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
\n
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and organizational standards
\n
• Support strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned by leadership
\n
• Perform additional duties as requested by leadership team
\n

Qualifications \n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required
\n
• Minimum ten (10) years of progressive accounting experience
\n
• Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or management experience preferred
\n
• Experience with payroll administration required
\n
• Experience with accrual accounting required
\n
• Healthcare, physician practice, medical group, or outpatient clinic accounting experience required
\n
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
\n
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis preferred
\n
• CPA certification is welcome but not required
\n
• Experience with accounting systems and payroll platforms preferred
\n

Education & Experience \n

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Accounting, Finance, or related field
\n
• Ten (10) years of accounting experience required
\n
• Two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
\n
• Healthcare finance or medical practice accounting experience required
\n
• Payroll and accrual-based accounting experience required
\n
