Are you an experienced Audit Manager or Senior Manager looking for a position where you can have more influence over the direction of a firm?

An established and growing CPA and advisory firm is looking to appoint an Audit & Accounting Manager with the potential to progress into an Audit & Accounting Director position.

\n

\n

This isn't simply another engagement management role. The firm is looking for someone who can help shape its audit and accounting practice, contribute to its system of quality management and become an important part of its long-term leadership team.

\n

\n

You'll have the opportunity to combine technical assurance work with staff development, client relationships and wider practice leadership.

\n

The Opportunity

\n

You'll take responsibility for managing audit and accounting engagements while working closely with senior leadership to maintain technical standards and support the continued growth of the practice.

\n

Your responsibilities will include:

\n

\n
• Lead and manage audit, review and compilation engagements from planning through completion.
\n
• Oversee engagement budgets, staffing, deadlines and final deliverables.
\n
• Apply technical knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS and SSARS .
\n
• Play an active role in the firm's system of quality management .
\n
• Review financial statements and engagement documentation.
\n
• Research and resolve complex accounting and assurance matters.
\n
• Identify potential engagement risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
\n
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
\n
• Provide technical guidance and support to engagement teams.
\n
• Ensure work meets applicable professional standards and quality requirements.
\n

• Mentor and develop Senior Associates, Supervisors and junior Managers.

What We're Looking For

\n

\n
• 8–10+ years of public accounting experience.
\n
• Active CPA licence required.
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
\n
• Strong technical understanding of GAAP, GAAS, SSARS and assurance quality management standards .
\n
• Experience managing audit, review and compilation engagements.
\n
• Proven ability to supervise and develop audit professionals.
\n
• Confidence managing engagement budgets, staffing and deadlines.
\n
• Strong technical research and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Excellent client communication and relationship management abilities.
\n
• Sound professional judgement and commitment to quality.
\n
• Interest in contributing to business development and practice growth.
\n
• Ability to travel locally for client engagements when required.
\n
• US work authorisation without employer sponsorship.
\n

Previous Big 4 experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

\n
