Licensed Facilities Maintenance Manager

Job Description Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Licensed Facilities Maintenance Manager. This role oversees predictive and preventative maintenance of our facilities within a regional area. You will lead a team of dedicated technicians, ensuring that our buildings operate efficiently and sustainably while providing a safe and comfortable environment for associates and customers. Role Detail Requires approximately 50% or more travel within the region. Work directly with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership on facility services needs. Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed. Provide reporting and analytics. Maintain up-to-date contractor licenses to uphold good standing with relevant authorities. Participate in training programs to stay familiar with regulatory requirements, conduct site inspections, and monitor compliance and quality standards. Obtain and secure necessary permits and schedule inspections as mandated by mechanical or building codes. Hard Skill Sets Needed General Facilities Services / Overall Building Maintenance Experience – 3‑5 years preferred. Electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical experience. Leadership skills – able to inspire, motivate, and develop others. Communication & interpersonal skills. Problem‑solving skills – root‑cause and breakdown analysis experience. Customer service orientation. Soft Skill Sets Needed EPA Universal Certification. PMP Certification. Lean Six Sigma. Maintain Mechanical Contractor license in state of employment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and either 3 years of experience in facilities, construction, mechanical maintenance, engineering or related area, or 5 years of experience in the same fields. Preferred Qualifications General maintenance experience; supervising associates. Experience on cross‑functional teams or projects. Experience in commercial electrical work. Compensation Salary range: $90,000 – $180,000. Compensation packages based on skill set, experience, location, level, qualifications and job‑related factors. Eligible for bonus incentives.
