Job Summary:

The Radiation Therapy Dosimetrist is responsible for developing and implementing precise radiation treatment plans to ensure optimal patient care. They work closely with the oncology team to deliver accurate radiation doses and perform specialized technical tasks related to radiation therapy.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Plan and design treatment techniques that deliver prescribed radiation doses to patients.
  
  
• 
  Obtain and supervise patient data collection for contouring, localization, CT scans, and port films.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate simulations and localization procedures to ensure accurate treatment delivery.
  
  
• 
  Enter and verify dosage calculations in patients radiation therapy records.
  
  
• 
  Supervise therapists during the implementation of treatment plans.
  
  
• 
  Assist in building beam-modifying devices and obtaining localization films for intracavity procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with three years of dosimetry experience under supervision or an approved equivalent.
  
  
• 
  Credentialed as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist by the American Association of Medical Dosimetry.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in radiation treatment planning and technical procedures.
  
  
• 
  Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  
  
• 
  Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and equipment operation.
