Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in DCD support. You’ll help shape the academic journey of approximately nine students, working onsite and collaborating with dedicated professionals in an inclusive school setting.

In this position, you'll create and deliver effective instruction while fostering a supportive, growth-focused classroom environment. Your expertise and empathy will empower students to overcome challenges and reach their potential.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally working with students with cognitive disabilities
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Up-to-date resume and current MN Teaching Certification must be submitted to be considered

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and revise individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt lessons to meet diverse academic, behavioral, and social needs
• Collaborate with general education staff, other specialists, and families to optimize student outcomes
• Track student progress and provide necessary documentation
• Offer guidance, encouragement, and interventions based on each student’s needs
• Create a positive and structured classroom climate

This contract runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, with a regular schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, roughly 8:30 am – 4:30 pm including a 30-minute lunch break.
