Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

You’ll serve a caseload of approximately 9 students, working closely with a collaborative team in a nurturing elementary school environment. The position begins in late August 2026 and will continue through early June 2027, offering a predictable Monday through Friday schedule that allows for work-life balance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (required to present when applying)
• Tier 3 or 4 licensure in Special Education
• Experience teaching special education, ideally with students with developmental cognitive disabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff and families
• Patience, adaptability, and dedication to supporting every student’s individualized learning journey

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with developmental cognitive disabilities
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure student success
• Monitor and document student progress toward academic and developmental goals
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence
• Communicate regularly with families, celebrating achievements and addressing concerns
