About The Firm:
A respected law firm in Chicago is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its growing litigation practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with strong experience handling commercial disputes and complex business litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters including complex business disputes, contract disputes, partnership/shareholder disputes, and other commercial claims
- Independently manage cases through all phases of litigation
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and legal briefs
- Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations
- Develop litigation strategies and provide risk assessments to clients
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation
- Strong experience handling complex litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience preferred
- Active and in good standing with the Illinois Bar
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 – $240,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
