This is the seat where you get to. You will run the whole production side of a commercial roofing company, projects and service both, and you will own it. Not a piece of it. Not a region of it. All of it.

Who we are

Executive Roofing Systems is an established and growing commercial roofing company serving New Jersey and the surrounding Tri State area. We have built a strong reputation, great client relationships, and a team of good people who genuinely care about the work we do and the company we are building.

We are owned and operated by Jim and Tina, who are actively involved in the business every day. Jim leads sales and brings a hospitality background that has shaped how we approach our clients and their experience with us. Tina leads the company and is focused on building the people, structure, systems, and vision that will take Executive Roofing into its next chapter.

What you would own

Jim has been running sales and production at the same time and has taken this company to $6 million doing it. He cannot take it to ten million on his own. Your first job is to take production off his plate entirely so he can go sell, and your second job is to make production run better than he had time to make it run.

• The buyout. Every job gets bought out through you. Materials, equipment, dumpsters, lead times, and the supplier and manufacturer relationships that make all of it show up when you said it would.
• The schedule. Projects and service both, sequencing the work, allocating crews and subs.
• The crews. Hiring, managing, and training the field team, plus building the sub bench for overflow. Technical training so quality does not depend on which crew showed up.
• The margin. Roughly thirty five projects a year between $150,000 and $2M, and you own whether they land where they were sold. Job costing while the job is running, not after.
• The service side. Four to eight tickets a day at strong margins, a service manager and three two-man teams, and real room to grow it.
• The customer. From sold through closeout, building owners and facility managers hear from you rather than chase you.
• Safety and closeout. Running the safety program across every site and making sure jobs close out clean so they can be billed and warrantied.
• The way it all works. The processes and documentation that let production run without an owner standing in the middle of it.

The honest part

There is no bench under you yet. The sub crews you want are not all on a list somewhere, the service team is two-man crews and needs to be bigger, and the scheduling system is going to be whatever you build. Some people read that as a headache. If you read it as the reason to take the job, we should talk.

This is not a desk job with a title on it. You will be on roofs, on the phone with suppliers, and in front of customers, and coordinating crews. You will also not be babysat, second guessed, or asked to route every decision through an owner.

• You are passionate about commercial roofing and understand what it takes to execute projects successfully from preconstruction through final closeout.
• You thrive on logistics, scheduling, coordination, and making sure crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and information are where they need to be when they need to be there.
• You have successfully managed multiple commercial roofing projects, crews, subcontractors, and competing priorities at the same time.
• You are a strong leader who can set expectations, hold people accountable, solve problems, and keep the team moving forward.
• You understand project budgets, job costing, change orders, purchasing, scheduling, customer communication, quality control, and closeout.
• You are highly organized, stay ahead of problems, and excel at execution. You do not just identify what needs to happen. You make sure it gets done.
• You are comfortable working in a growing organization where you will have the opportunity to improve processes, strengthen systems, and help build a high performing production operation.

• This role offers significant opportunity for growth as our organization continues to expand, but we are hiring specifically for a hands on Production Manager who wants to own production operations, lead the team, and drive execution. This is the seat we need you to be excited about today.
• Your background is install projects only. Service is a large part of this job and it lands on you every single day.
• Somebody else always handled the buyout and the vendor relationships. That work sits in this seat and it is a meaningful part of your week.
• Your whole career has been at large contractors with a full back office behind you. Purchasing, scheduling, and recruiting were somebody else's department. Here they are yours.
• You need the process to already exist before you can work. Building it is the job.
• You want a number well above the band posted below and you are not able to move on it. We would rather you know that now than four weeks from now.

What you need to have

1. Five or more years running commercial roofing production or field operations at a company doing $3M to $20M.
2. Real experience hiring and keeping field labor in a non-union market. If the hall always sent you people, this will be a hard adjustment.
3. Hands-on experience buying out projects. Working suppliers, manufacturers, and rental vendors directly on materials, equipment, and lead times.
4. Time running or growing a service and repair department, not just install projects.
5. A track record of building a sub crew bench from scratch. Existing New Jersey relationships are a strong plus, but having built one anywhere counts more.
6. Comfort reading job cost and holding gross margin, not just hitting a schedule.
7. Close enough to Morganville, NJ to be in the office regularly and on North Jersey jobsites when a job needs you there.
8. A clean driving record.

Compensation

What we offer

Base salary

$125,000 to $165,000 depending on experience

Bonus

Performance bonus tied to gross margin and on-time completion

Realistic total, strong performer

$150,000 to $190,000+
