Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Driving Role in San Ramon, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $24.40 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon09:30 PM - 06:00 AMTue09:30 PM - 06:00 AMWed09:30 PM - 06:00 AMThur09:30 PM - 06:00 AMSun09:30 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with the appropriate contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report maintenance, lighting, fencing, and/or other site condition issues that could affect daily operations. Support Allied Universal standards by preparing clear reports, relaying important information during shift transitions, and following post instructions for utility infrastructure and related restricted areas. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required. Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. CPR certification is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
