Creative and adaptable, the full-time remote Director of Product Counsel will navigate emerging legal issues in AI/ML technologies, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and shape the legal frameworks that support rapid product innovation. Key responsibilities Counsel product and engineering teams on legal and regulatory issues related to AI/ML, data governance, and intellectual property Partner with cross-functional teams to design frameworks and legal guardrails for AI feature development Serve as the primary legal partner for product initiatives, collaborating with legal subject matter experts to provide cohesive guidance Required qualifications 8+ years of legal experience counseling software products, preferably in the B2B Enterprise SaaS sector Juris Doctor degree with a license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction Experience in both law firm and in-house legal settings Strong generalist product counseling skills with the ability to adapt to various technical and business contexts Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and evaluate emerging legal issues in AI, data, and regulatory fields Virtual Vocations Inc
