- Performing thorough evaluations of patients, including ordering essential diagnostic tests and devising individualized care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, contingent on credentials
- Guiding patients and their families on preventive measures, wellness practices, and effective disease management
- Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies in alignment with your specialty
- Engaging in follow-up care and chronic illness management
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, holistic patient care
- Meticulously documenting within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Washington, D.C.
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days)
- Robust clinical insights coupled with a caring bedside manner
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and fellow healthcare providers
- Flexibility in dynamic, patient-focused settings
- Effective use of EMR systems along with experience in telehealth
