About the Role
We're hiring a Business Development Manager for our Fresno/Visalia branch , and we're looking for someone who lives within 30 minutes of Fresno, CA, ideally in the south valley area .

This is not a remote position.

Role Breakdown:

• 40% Field Work - Walking into businesses, meeting decision-makers, and prospecting new clients.
  
  
• 40% Phone/Email Outreach from the office - Cold calling, following up on leads, and nurturing your pipeline.
  
  
• 20% Administrative - CRM updates, quoting rates, writing notes, and client communications.

What You'll Do

• Actively network through SHRM, Chamber of Commerce, Business Journal events, fundraisers, and HR groups.
  
  
• Prospect local businesses and promote Hire Up's staffing solutions.
  
  
• Negotiate contracts and build long-term client relationships.
  
  
• Collaborate with recruiters and leadership to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Who You Are

• You live within 30 minutes of Fresno and can work in-office 3-5 days a week with no more than 2 days in the field (starting and ending from the office on field days).
  
  
• You love getting out into the community, building genuine connections, and meeting new people.
  
  
• You're a confident communicator, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  
  
• You're dependable, honest, self-motivated, organized, and thrive with a structured schedule.
  
  
• You have at least 2 years of B2B sales experience in the staffing industry, or a similar industry like representing sales for a payroll company or an HR software company.
  (Bonus points if you already have existing sales contacts in the Fresno/Visalia area!)
