VP, Delivery

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP, Delivery based in the United States. This executive role leads the delivery strategy and operational performance of a large portfolio of complex digital products, platforms, and transformation programs. You will oversee end-to-end delivery across areas including AI, commerce, loyalty, CRM, customer data, analytics, and product engineering. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical judgment, requiring the ability to guide major programs and intervene when delivery needs recovery. You will shape delivery standards, governance, performance metrics, economics, staffing, and risk management across a distributed North America and India delivery model. As a player-coach, you will develop senior delivery leaders, strengthen technical fluency, and foster accountability for client and business outcomes. You will partner closely with clients, executives, sales, engineering, product, resource management, and talent teams to turn demand into successful delivery. The role offers significant influence over delivery operations, technical strategy, organizational growth, and the performance of high-value enterprise programs. Accountabilities - Develop and execute the North American delivery strategy in alignment with business and technology objectives. - Oversee end-to-end delivery of digital products, platforms, applications, and customer-facing services from planning and estimation through launch and continuous improvement. - Establish delivery models, standards, governance practices, and performance expectations across Agile, Scrum, DevOps, Lean, product-led, and hybrid environments. - Define technical delivery and governance standards covering architecture feasibility, integrations, data dependencies, environment and release readiness, scalability, security, performance, production supportability, and operational readiness. - Integrate AI and intelligent automation across development, testing, deployment, and delivery management to improve speed, quality, and scalability.

- Establish and monitor delivery KPIs covering speed, predictability, quality, productivity, cost, and business value. - Oversee complex programs spanning enterprise platforms, AI enablement, commerce and loyalty, customer data and analytics, point-of-sale and in-store integrations, and multi-site implementations. - Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing delivery organization, including performance management, goal setting, career development, staffing, and conflict resolution. - Partner with international delivery leadership to maintain shared standards and a consistent global delivery model. - Raise technical fluency across the delivery organization so leaders can effectively participate in solution, estimation, and risk discussions. - Serve as the executive escalation point for major accounts and lead recovery plans when programs require intervention. - Ensure project estimates are technically grounded and accurately reflect delivery requirements. - Partner with client and business development teams to scope, size, and solution new opportunities. - Oversee statements of work, change requests, contractual obligations, and delivery risks. - Proactively identify execution risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints before they become escalations. - Own delivery economics, including margin performance, forecasting accuracy, utilization, staffing, bench management, and portfolio capacity planning. - Own client satisfaction and net revenue retention for delivery-led accounts. - Partner with resource management and talent acquisition to translate delivery demand into effective staffing plans. - Use project and resource management systems to support data-driven decisions, reporting, and portfolio optimization.
