Sr. Billing Specialist

Position Sr. Billing Specialist Responsibilities Bill client, MACSIS (ADAMHS Board, Medicaid), insurances, and all other potential billing parties in a timely manner. Verify client insurance coverage, additional billing information from MACSIS, and insurance companies consistently and timely. Work within the team and payer structures to reduce outstanding accounts receivable and assist in efforts that result in additional reimbursement for the organization. Follow up on all claims denied by payers, determine needs and effectively convert the denial into payment based on payer guidelines. Position Requirements High School Diploma/GED required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred. 5 years’ experience in a Billing Specialist role within a health center and/or a nonprofit organization required. Highly proficient using MS Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Team player who values delivering outstanding customer service.
