Location 801 N Larkin Ave Suite 100,Joliet, IL, 60435,United States Base Pay $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 / Year Employee Type Exempt FT Required Degree 4 Year Degree Travel 35% Contact Information Email View email address on click.appcast.io Description General Description Responsible for the coordination and assistance in the planning and implementation of the Preschool for ALL (PFA) program funded by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). This position supervises staff and is responsible for screenings and other family educational specific activities. Duties and Responsibilities Provide supervision, direction, and performance evaluations for the Preschool for ALL (PFA) staff members. Develop, implement, and evaluate written Parent Involvement Plans. Develop, design, and lead parent activities. Develop Kindergarten Transition Plans using current and available Readiness Inventories. Develop and maintain relationships with other agencies through partnering and collaboration of similar programs to ensure that families have the best available assistance possible. Maintain the ISBE database, including all required information for each family. Ensure that staff members are cross‑trained in the maintenance and functionality of the IL CCR&R and ISBE databases. Actively participate in the sourcing and selection of additional staff as required. Provide input into the planning and maintenance of the PFA program, parent library, newsletter, and other written material for parents and families. Attend and participate in CCR&R and ISBE services, training, and other agency or other job‑related conferences. Stay abreast of “Best Practices” in teaching instruction for 3-5 year olds and changes to ISBE and DCFS Illinois Standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Performance Measures Implementation and adherence to the Preschool for All program requirements. The success of the Preschool for All programs and staff development. Development and implementation of the required number of family involvement activities. High degree of customer satisfaction from all families. Maintains strong professional relationships with all CCR&R departments. Requirements Education and Experience Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or Education is required, or a minimum of 18 credit hours in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. At least one (1) year of experience in the child care field working directly with parents or in a child care setting with children 3-5 years old. Must have the ability to meet the general Illinois Licensing Standards for Child Care requirements. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and be comfortable speaking to large and small groups of people. Demonstrate ability to work cooperatively with individuals from various educational, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. Be able to travel locally and attend occasional evening and/or weekend meetings and/or participate in out-of-office agency programs, conferences, and events. Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation to complete all work‑related travel assignments. May be required to carry, lift, or move equipment, material, or supplies weighing up to 40lbs.
