Eng II, Systems Engineering - (Onsite)

Responsibilities Interface with multidisciplinary team to design and implement test facility electrical control and data systems in support of development and production test programs Collaborate with customers, including external parties, to further understand and define requirements Propose and implement cost‑effective solutions from concept through final design, fabrication, checkout, and system turnover to the customer, considering feasibility, safety, environmental impact, and adherence to industry standards Identify improvements to Engineering Standard Work during execution of assigned tasks Contribute to the development of goals for the electrical discipline Frequent interfacing with Engine Project Groups, Purchasing, and external vendors Collaborate with capital project managers and lead high and medium power electrical design for new construction/renovation of site facilities Write request for proposal documents in support of capital procurement Oversee vendors and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies, procedures and practices Apply planning requirements, design, integration and implementation of Power Distribution on site Provide training and knowledge transfer; mentor and review work of lower‑level professionals Review and approve project and construction drawings to ensure compliance with NEC, Florida Building Codes and local jurisdiction code requirements Travel less than 25% Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Power Transmission or Power Distribution Engineering Minimum 2 years of electrical engineering experience or an advanced degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required U.S. citizenship is required Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and awareness of electrical relay logic design, motor control center design, and power and control wiring distribution Knowledge of pressures, temperatures, fluid process control and its relationship to the mechanical environment Experience using AutoCAD to design electrical schematics or elementary wiring diagrams Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Understanding and application of compliance codes such as the National Electric Code (NEC) NFPA 70, National Electric Safety Code NFPA 70E and OSHA 510 Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools such as Six Sigma, Agile or CORE to drive continuous improvements in processes and customer MFA Benefits Salary range: $68,900 - $131,100 USD, based on experience.
