Electronic Tester

Job Description Microchip Technology Inc. has an Electronic Tester opening based in San Jose, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks: Test floor and EOL tester set-up and minor debugging of continuity failures Verify test program, process, temperature and ensure units marking and quantity match with the travelers Fill out the test travelers and ESD checklist Manage traveler transaction before and after the lot test is completed through MES and AX2012 process Notify engineers and maintenance of production test issues Required Qualifications Ability to multi-task while paying careful attention to detail Prior success working both individually and in a team environment Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow written and verbal direction Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed work specifications Excellent listening skills Adaptability to frequent change and improvements Regular and predictable attendance is essential Ability to wear required protective equipment Basic computer, math and reading comprehension skills Minimum age 18 years with a high school diploma or GED Willingness to work Thursday to Sunday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (four 10‑hour shifts) U.S. Export Controls compliance: proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent residency or protected individual status Travel Time No travel required. Physical Attributes Carrying, crouching, feeling, foot controls, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, noise and/or vibration, other, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, talking, works alone, works around others. Physical Requirements Able to lift, push, or pull 25 lbs; carry 15 lbs; sit 10%, stand 60%, walk 40%; must perform activities that include stooping, reaching, handling, hearing, talking, seeing, work alone, and work around others. Pay Range The hourly pay range for this position is $18.45 to $27.00 depending on location, skills, and experience.
