Job Description:

Microchip Technology Inc. is a leading provider of embedded control applications. Our product portfolio comprises general purpose and specialized 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers, 32-bit microprocessors, field-programmable gate array (FPGA) products, a broad spectrum of high-performance linear, mixed-signal, power management, thermal management, radio frequency (RF), timing, safety, security, wired connectivity and wireless connectivity devices, as well as serial Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM), Serial Flash memories, Parallel Flash memories, and serial Static Random Access Memory (SRAM). We also license Flash-IP solutions that are incorporated in a broad range of products.

Microchip Technology Inc. has an Electronic Tester opening based in San Jose, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the below tasks.

• Test floor and EOL tester set-up, minor de-bugging of continuity failures
• Verify test program, process, temperature and verifying units marking and quantity match with the travelers
• Filling out the test travelers and ESD checklist
• Responsible for traveler transaction before and after the lot test is completed through MES and AX2012 process
• Responsible for notifying engineers and maintenance for production test issue

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task while paying careful attention to detail
• Prior success working both individually and in a team environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal direction
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed work specifications
• Excellent listening skills
• Adaptability to frequent change and improvements
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential
• Ability to wear the required Protective Equipment
• Basic computer, math and reading comprehension skills
• You must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
• Willing to work Thursday - Sunday 6:00am - 4:30pm (4x10)

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $18.45 - $27.00.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
