Responsibilities Take full responsibility for the guest experience and anticipate the guest’s needs and wants Consistently maintain proper uniform standards and personal hygiene practices Greet each guest promptly in a timely manner and with genuine enthusiasm Accurately take and enter guest’s order into handheld POS system Suggestively sell food and beverage offerings that would enhance the guest’s experience Properly handle cash and process credit card transactions Hold a high level of integrity Complete all assigned side work, opening and closing duties Ensure the accuracy, consistency, quality of all beverages that are served Prepare drinks in the appropriate glassware Ensure freshness of ingredients and garnishes Be responsible for maintaining liquor inventory and ensuring the bar is properly stocked Be the final quality check on food and drinks prior to arriving to guest’s table Serve alcohol responsibly by carding correctly and recognizing symptoms of intoxication Take a proactive approach to guests that are obnoxious, uncomfortably loud or potentially violent Communicate effectively and appropriately with all associates and managers withing the restaurant Ability to handle multiple tasks and recognize when you may need help Maintain an attitude that is positive and infectious while at work or speaking about Charlie’s On Prior Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Sense of urgency Strong desire to do whatever it takes regarding the guests’ experience Ability to work positively with all associates within the restaurant Strong beer, liquor and wine knowledge and desire to expand knowledge Active listening skills to accommodate the guests’ needs and create relationships Ability to multitask while taking care of bar guests needs and the server orders while maintaining composure and cleanliness Strong communication skills and outgoing personality Required Experience Previous bartending experience of 2 or more years in a restaurant that does an above average volume Previous serving experience of 3 or more years in a restaurant that does an above average volume Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time The ability to communication clearly and effectively Compensation Starting wage for this position is $11.13/hr #J-18808-Ljbffr Witt/Kieffer
