Benefits Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a Benefits Specialist for a contract/temporary Benefits Counselor opportunity in Lake Mary, FL. This hybrid role supports employees during the annual benefits enrollment season and is ideal for customer-focused professionals who enjoy helping people understand important benefit options. This opportunity offers paid training, a structured team environment, and the chance to build valuable experience in benefits administration, customer support, and high-volume contact center service. You will be part of a large seasonal team with supportive leadership, clear processes, and strong coaching throughout training and production. Top‑performing hybrid employees may also be considered for long‑term opportunities after the assignment. Fluent English/Spanish bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Answer inbound calls from employees with questions about benefits, enrollment, eligibility, and plan information. Assist employees with benefits enrollment and guide them through online tools and system navigation. Troubleshoot website access, login issues, and basic technical questions. Explain benefit plan details clearly and professionally in a way employees can easily understand. Accurately document customer interactions, call details, and follow‑up actions. Make outbound follow‑up calls as needed while managing multiple computer systems during each interaction. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $19.00 per hour. Completion bonus available for employees who meet attendance and quality expectations. Location: Hybrid in Lake Mary, FL. Work arrangement: 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Start date: Early August. Assignment length: Through December 31. Paid training provided. Training schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:45 AM to 5:30 PM EST. Training includes three weeks of classroom training followed by one week of nesting before transitioning to production. Work schedule requires flexibility Monday‑Friday between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM CST. Overtime may be required from October through December. Occasional Saturdays may be required during peak enrollment season. No planned time off during the assignment, especially during Q4. Potential for permanent employment may be available for outstanding hybrid employees after the project.
