Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate the symptoms' severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorders in diverse clients.

• Develop and tailor individualized treatment plans in close collaboration with clients to cater to their specific mental health needs and personal goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders effectively.

• Provide education and guidance to clients and their families on mood disorders, various treatment options, and essential self-care strategies.

• Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care and support systemic mental health improvements.

• Stay abreast of advancements in the mental health field, particularly relating to mood disorders, to continuously refine treatment methodologies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of all client interactions, sessions, and progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and reinforce best practices in mood disorder management.

• Actively promote mental health awareness and de-stigmatization of mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals experiencing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our clientele is diverse, requiring a therapist who is not only skillful in treatment approaches but also culturally competent and respectful of different backgrounds and narratives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Psychologist in Washington State.

• Proven expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques for treating mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the dynamics of collaborative mental health care.

• Demonstrated success in achieving favorable treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse clientele.
