The final title - HR Manager or HR Director - will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and depth of experience. This is a hands-on, full-scope role with direct CEO access, supervision of HR support staff, and ownership of all HR functions across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead employee relations, investigations, disciplinary processes, and terminationsManage full-cycle recruitment with emphasis on clinical, technical, and hard-to-fill positionsMaintain compliance with federal and state employment law (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII) and applicable CMS/HIPAA requirementsAdminister compensation structures and employee benefits programs; support market benchmarkingProvide managers with tools and guidance for performance management and corrective actionOversee HR operations: onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data integrity, and employee recordsServe as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team on workforce and culture mattersSupervise and develop HR support staffRequiredBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or management roleWorking knowledge of federal employment law and multi-function HR operationsStrong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levelsPreferred- Healthcare setting experience - Critical Access Hospital, rural health clinic, or long-term careSHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certificationExperience recruiting in a rural or geographically constrained marketCompensation & BenefitsSalary range of $68,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and title level (Manager or Director).
