As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Entry in El Segundo, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour Job Schedule Sun – 09:00 PM – 05:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, manage visitor processing, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, operational areas, and perimeter zones, remaining alert to unusual activity and reporting security‑related concerns. Prepare clear activity logs, access records, and incident reports, and support daily operations by following post orders and established security‑related procedures. Minimum Requirements: Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
