Contract | Nights (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | Onsite | 13 or 26 Week Contract Options Available | 36 or 48 Hour Weekly Options Available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a general medical surgical, telemetry, and orthopedic unit serving a diverse and complex patient population including cardiac, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, renal, and behavioral health conditions
• Manage and administer IV drips as required across all assigned floors
• Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units, including potential float to an additional campus
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for all clinical documentation
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
• Apply de-escalation and safety techniques when caring for behavioral health patients, including those flagged for violent behavior, detox, or dementia on a secured floor

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or pending Nebraska RN state license (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability and willingness to float frequently to various units to meet facility staffing needs
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
• Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
