As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Deterrence in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic financial institution location as an armed patrol this role you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting observations and communicating with local law enforcement and/or site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility access points parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity verify credentials and/or visitor access as required and report suspicious behavior security-related concerns and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Support cash handling and other sensitive operational areas by maintaining a visible presence following post orders and completing required reports related to incidents patrol activity and daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement military police and/or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
