Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients with accuracy and care, following established procedures and safety protocols.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Explain procedures to patients to create a comfortable and trusting environment.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens and patient interactions.
• Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection duties following best practices.
• Support a safe and professional environment, promoting positive interactions with patients and staff.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence in daily tasks.

Required Skills

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of direct phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Reliable personal transportation to and from the worksite, with a commute time within 20-25 minutes.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and committed to maintaining a professional environment.
• Bilingual skills or additional language abilities are a plus.
