Assistant Bookkeeper

Assistant Bookkeeper Baystate Interpreters is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions Maintain accurate financial records and update ledgers with daily transactions Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Prepare and submit tax documents in compliance with regulations Respond to inquiries from clients and vendors regarding invoices and payments Support the accounting team with various administrative tasks as needed Your attention to detail and strong analytical skills will be critical as you assist in preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and processing invoices. Requirements Associate's degree or similar experience in Accounting or a related field preferred Proven experience as an Assistant Bookkeeper or in a similar role Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients Benefits Why Join Baystate Interpreters?
