Our law firm is seeking a skilled and successful personal injury attorney to join our growing team and help clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. Our ideal candidate will handle case files from start to finish, have excellent credentials, a passion for helping people, and a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation and trial experience. Compensation:$90,000 - $120,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate and negotiate reasonable agreements
- Handle personal injury case files from start to finish
- Represent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigation
- Research case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case
- Record and update the status of all case files in the case management system
- A good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is desired
- State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory
- Must be computer proficient
- Superior research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills are highly valued
- 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, or civil litigation practice areas is needed
- Bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required
You will work directly under our founding attorney, Ariel Lett, Esq.
Mr. Lett is the Managing Attorney of Lett Law, Miami’s premier Black-owned, multi-award-winning law firm, focusing on personal injury, criminal defense, and civil rights claims. He brings broad litigation experience to the firm. Before founding Lett Law, Mr. Lett practiced at both large and small defense firms for several years.
Mr. Lett is a skilled trial lawyer known for persuasive advocacy, sharp litigation skills, and a readiness to try cases.
In addition to his law firm experience, Mr. Lett served as a federal law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. In that role, he evaluated and managed numerous cases and drafted orders and opinions addressing complex procedural and substantive legal issues. Mr. Lett also has litigation experience in trade secret and non-compete matters.
