We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist with a strong background in large-scale, 5-axis machining. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and hands-on experience operating and programming large automotive mills.

The primary equipment includes Nidec and Mec 2 mills, with additional experience on Parpas, Mitsubishi, Mechoff, Pratt, YCM, or Okuma mills highly valued.

This role requires experience with 5-axis machining, including a minimum 3+2 axis setup, as well as experience working with large automotive mills with table sizes ranging from 4 to 12+ meters. Candidates should be comfortable programming directly at the machine controller and working with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls.

Experience programming through SMIRT rather than exclusively at the controller is preferred. Experience machining complex die components such as hoods, doors, and fenders, or experience with large-scale defense fabrication machining, is also highly desirable.

Candidates with previous experience at large machining facilities, including organizations such as the Big Three automotive manufacturers, Hercules, R&S, or S&S, are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate should maintain a reasonable set of personal machinist tools and be comfortable working in a large-scale machining environment.

This position focuses on large, complex machining rather than high-volume production. The operation does not use Mazak or Haas equipment and does not involve serial or high-volume production machining. Quality inspection of parts directly off CNC mills is not a primary responsibility, and micrometers and digital calipers are used only occasionally.
