Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Rotating weekdays and weekends. Rotating holidays. 4:1 patient ratio.

Highlights:

• Neuro-focused Progressive Care Unit specializing in stroke care, with medical-surgical and other neurological diagnosis patients
• EPIC charting system in use
• 12-month assignment with interdisciplinary team support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• Float required within the hospital system as needed
• Experience with craniotomy, CVA, intracranial bleeds, traumatic brain injury, and post-TPA care
• Opportunity to work with specialized procedures including TNK administration, lumbar drains, and EEG monitoring

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit or neuro stepdown experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Proficiency in blood product administration, heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, oxygen administration, and peripheral line care
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract acceptance
