Software Development Engineer

Position Overview Software Development Engineer – Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company – located in Richardson, TX. The role involves designing and developing software applications and platforms that support digital strategies and solutions. Telecommuting is available; multiple positions are open. Responsibilities Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements. Determine feasibility of solutions and prepare technical design documentation. Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality, performance, reliability, and maintainability. Write and review high-quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing. Develop and deploy application components; support unit testing and bug fixes. Participate in Agile Scrum meetings and CI/CD processes. Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code reviews, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. Qualifications Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; minimum two (2) years of experience in the offered or related occupation. Two (2) years of experience in each of the following areas: CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps. Java, Python, or Node.js. ATG Commerce or Spring Boot microservices. REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs. Web and mobile application development. Writing application code and deploying to production. Developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions. Software development best practices. Compensation Pay range: $112,923.00 per year to $144,200.00 per year (base salary). The actual base salary may vary based on experience, education, geography, and other factors. This position is eligible for bonus, commission or short-term incentive programs and an equity award program.
